I was shown the line sheets for these babies a fair while ago, and was thoroughly impressed by their look and idea. Veam has been set up by a couple of French guys that wanted to make a shoe that combined premium materials with classic looks.

For people wondering about prices, the shoe is still in its early stages of sampling. So to think about prices at this time would be pointless. Needless to say, being hand made in France from premium goat leather, they wont be cheap. That’s not the point though.

The real point is that they’re a bunch of dudes who are basically just into sneakers like everyone else, except they’re in the process of making their own. Unlike most other indie sneaker brands, they’re runners. So we want to support that.

Coming from a background of sports mostly basketball I am not all that knowledgeable about running shoes but I can appreciate the thought behind this whole venture. You know how people say, “They just don’t make them like they used to?”. Well these guys are. At least thats my impression of it, as these guys are one of the most educated group of collectors and will surely do justice to these classic silhouettes.
