So I spent the last few days in Sydney checking out The Wearer’s Right, which is a new benchmark trade show for fashion and streetwear in Australia. These events are about more than just talking shop, a lot of the time you get to meet people you have been working with for years for the first time. I spent most of my time interviewing local brands and a few notable international ones and am now working my way through three days of footage. Shouts to the boys at Mr. Simple for letting me camp out at their booth and the crew at Capsule for always looking after me.

Milton Glaser’s tourist campaign logo (I love NY) turned souvenir T-shirt graphic sums up the feelings T-world has for the most ambitious city of them all. So, last Thursday was a bit mad.  I woke up with one tattoo, got a phone call from the awesome Ry Ry from Seventh Circle around lunch time and went to bed with 2 tattoos.  Here’s a couple of teaser pics taken by Taz.  Video and more pics to follow when the piece is finished.

The last few months I have been up and down (mostly down) the east coast, both for work and blog trips, which have involved countless hours of driving to airports, waiting for flights, sitting in trains, hours behind the lens then hours in front of computers, talking shit in bars and a few semi-serious-coherent discussions.

Most of them with good friends who are active in street wear and culture, some who work at retail spots, others distributing, few artist types and even some on their way to their own street wear empires. A surprising amount of whom I grew up with or around, so it was really interesting to discuss the matters of the world that has so consumed us over the past decade and tried to get some consensus on a topic.

Thursday 23rd June marks the opening night of The Outposts seventh annual ‘I used to skate once’ art show.  If you’re not familiar with the concept, the premise is: skaters past and present customise a blank skateboard which will be on display at the show and available for purchase.  The venue for this years opening party is The Zoo on Ann Street, in Fortitude Valley.  Festivities will run from 7pm to 1am and we’ll be there to view the art, take stills and video and have a drink of course.

Last week I posted a tonne of Nike stuff there were some really dope things, however this was by leaps and bounds is my favourite thing. Late last Friday I got this package delivered via courier, it was like receiving secret mission brief from MI-5. You done good Nike, done real good.

The package contained some stunning images printed on some really nice stock and a disc containing a tonne of information about the Chosen campaign.

Sneakerology and Streetology was conceived by the same team as Espionage and they have definitely brought their A game. One of the dopest stores I have visited recently, super slick well stocked, what more could you want?
