Odd Future Pop-Up Shop at Supply
Sunday January 22nd 2012, 2:55 pm - Events

So I don’t really care about it, but I’m sure someone will. Basically OFWGKTA will be doing a pop-up shop at Supply from tomorrow (Tuesday the 24th) until the 29th. If you’re in Sydney and into that sort of thing I’d suggest going to check it out. If, like me, you don’t really care then I suppose I just wasted the last 45 seconds of your life…

As they put it: “Our aim is to bring the latest in Australia’s exhibitions, vandalism, creative ism, events, accidents and exploits to help you get through the work day.

Kid Zoom – Home

Australian born, New York based artist, Ian Strange aka KID ZOOM recently returned to build an ambitious, full-scale replica of his childhood home inside Cockatoo Island’s prestigious Turbine Hall in Sydney. A reflection on Strange’s upbringing as an isolated teen in the Australian suburbs, KID ZOOM: HOME is complemented by a film that sees Strange recklessly blowing up and then smashing, three iconic Australian cars – a further perpetuation of the plight of the apathetic, isolated youth in suburbia.

- T, it all sounds very fancy but looks fucking cool, The Outpost Project is on only for a few more days so make time to check it out

CT x New Balance Pre-Release @ Laced
Tuesday November 08th 2011, 6:19 pm - Events,Sneakers

The other week Laced played host to the Australian exclusive release of the Crooked Tongues New Balance 1500s. The celebrate the occasion we threw a bit of a pre-release event to show some love to the big N. Alongside the shoes releasing, New Balance also provided photos from the NB574 “Journeys” show and samples for release in 2012. As well as these; myself and Stu along with help from a few other NB fiends put some of our collections on show. The number of shoes on display whilst not huge was pretty ecclectic. Hit up Laced for some images from the night and a side-by-side comparison with the original 576 and the 1500 re-colour.

The list of Artist is redic, the production looks coconuts, the space is beyond anything, just fuckin do it cause if it’s deemed successful they might be able to hold another one sooner than never.

NIKE House Warming 2011
Thursday October 27th 2011, 2:23 am - Events,Sneakers

The folks at Nike were kind enough to send me a invite to their House Warming 2011. Basically they booked out this gorgeous house in Bronte and threw a party in the main living room and all the upstairs rooms where furnished with personal items from Nike athletes such as NBA star Patty Mills and even some Olympians who I cannot name cause I am useless with names.

The closets were stuffed with upcoming Nike releases, brilliant concept really. Had a really good time catching up some folks I only get to see at events like this and meeting a few other fellow bloggers.
