BBC Season 9 updates

First up is more BBC. I know I’ve been posting heaps from BBC’s new season, but they keep dropping great simple yet nerdy stuff. This drop contains a dope rocket sweater and the mission patch jacket I alluded to in an earlier post.

Pictures and info comes courtesy of BBC Japan’s blog.

Dizzee Rascal – Tongue ‘n’ Cheek

I’ve been listening to Dizzee’s new album the last few days, and I like it. I can see this album selling alot of numbers, but I don’t care. It sounds good and that’s all I’m concerned with.

#3
UCS 9th Anniversary G-Shock DW-5000C

It’s like having a livestrong arm band that tells you the time! You can get one from here.

#4
The Hundreds “The Phoenix”

I’ve posted about these previously too. Now The Hundreds have released some solid info about them. It appears that they are “hand crafted in Italy” (which I would take as “screwed together”) and they’ll be available in “black, red, blue, and tortoise green”. Black pair for me please.

#5
Tim Allen’s “Licorice Streak Special”

Built for TV personality and utter car-nut Tim Allen, the “Licorice Steak Special” is a coachbuilt masterpiece that doesn’t look anywhere near as old as it is. Cars like this are timeless, and the baby is up on Ebay. Check out a full gallery and details at Autoblog

#6
Vinyl Heads

A recent trip to Laced revealed a gold mine of hilarity. The boys have shared this with everyone on their blog. No more explanation necessary.

#7
Parks and Recreation

Created by two writers of The Office, this show has just started up its second season. Much like The Office, Parks had a pretty slow first season, lasting only 6 episodes and being very reminiscent of its big sister. If the first episode is anything to go by though, this second season is going to be a cracker. Whilst The Office matures, Parks and Recreation lets the ridiculousness reign free. Tally-ho!

#8
Yvan Muller @ Imola

Nothing more than a brilliant picture of Yvan Muller’s WTCC Seat Leon from last weekend’s race at Imola. See a hi-res version at Speedhunters

#9
More solebox!

Yes there’s even more news from solebox in regards to another collaboration. This looks to be an adidas Berlin.

Hikmet also announced that all online auctions on Solemart are now free! Ebay can’t beat that!

#10
Bape Crape

Probably the best of Bape’s footwear (but still a shameless rip) this particular colourway of the Bape Crape looks lush. There’s a select few sizes available from Cliffedge so you’d better be fast.

So we’re well aware that the blog is pretty slow with updates, but we’re pretty lazy people so cut us some slack already!

Anyway, I scrounged around and finally got bothered to post some stuff that has taken my interest this week, so read on for an enthralling story of wonder and mystery (or not).

Sneakers’N'Stuff just got in the first of Puma’s line of Suede Classic. This is a nice return to nice simple colourways on a nice shape. Something Puma has lacked the last few years. You can’t really go wrong with the Knicks colourway either.

O
O

I’m sure I’ve mentioned that I’m a little tragic when it comes to the TV show Scrubs. Well as you can see, they’ve begun table reads for Season 9. What makes this season so different is that the cast is completely different (save for Turk and Dr. Cox and some guest appearances from the old cast). It will be interesting to see just how this all turns out. Via ScrubsHQ

O
O

On a proddy note, I go un-lazy and hooked up the 1500MSB SMU by solebox for what seems like the only 4 people in the world that didn’t already own some. Big enormous thanks goes out to the man behind the whole deal, Hikmet, for being one of the nicest guys around.

O
O
And in generic news I also managed to get involved in a car accident on the way to Uni on Wednesday, so I’ve still got a bit of a sore neck from that. However, due to my sub-par blog whore abilities I didn’t have a camera on me and as such have no proof of the events that transpired.

My rant after the break

Unlike most of you out there I grew up in a country where shows from the 60s and 70s are all childhood classics.

Afternoons spent with cousins and uncles and aunties aimlessly watching English Movies and TV shows barely understanding a word and giggling at the ridiculous slapstick moments, while watching beautiful white women kicking ass and a the purple caped crusader zooming around in his space ship of a car, are some of the only days i miss.

From the original Star Trek series to Brosnan’s best gig ever Remington Steele to my first crush Jaclyn Smith from Charlies Angels, it was a golden era of television that many of you need to experience to get better understand the evolution of Pop Culture.

Yeah yeah we get it, you’re way more cultured than us. – twiz
